St. Patrick’s Day is upon us, which means it’s time to sport your greenest outfits and blast Bono full volume. To help you celebrate (aka: get drunk), we’ve rounded up some of the best St. Patrick’s Day parties and specials. From green pints to Celtic folk tunes, you can celebrate with Guangzhou’s lads and lasses in true Irish style.
Bravo
This St. Paddy’s Day, sample Bravo's ‘The Hulk’ ale while enjoying traditional Irish folk tunes. Specially brewed for the holiday, a 350-milliliter glass of HULK sells for RMB60.

The Brew
To celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, all three The Brew Bar & Bistro establishments will offer specials! The JSL Brew will provide patrons dressed in green with a free shot, while also providing Irish music and Guinness on tap! The Zhujiang location will offer revelers six shots of Guinness for RMB100 and one for RMB25, while the Panyu branch will offer an Irish-inspired set dinner for RMB298. Partiers in Panyu can also catch Fletch at 9pm and DJ Joshua at 11pm.

Canton Tower
With support from the Irish consulate and Tourism Ireland, the sixth edition of St. Patrick’s Day at the Canton Tower, hosted by the Canton Tower and co-hosted by That’s PRD, will again celebrate the best of Irish cultural heritage with Guangzhou’s Irish diaspora. This year’s event will feature Irish bands, Irish whiskey and a camping experience, all while the Canton Tower is illuminated in Celtic green. Click here to purchase tickets.

Gail’s

Hooley’s
It’s difficult to think of a Guangzhou establishment more ‘Irish-y’ than Hooley’s, and as such, we reckon it’s one of the top choices for a little St. Patrick’s Day debauchery. Food and drink deals will run all-day long and three bands are set to hit the stage in the name of, well, entertainment. There will also be green beer, duh.

La Vita è Bella
On St. Patrick’s Day, the new and cozy Italian eatery, La Vita è Bella, will feature a homey flavor with a special mussel recipe created by chef and owner Simone Villa’s mother from Dublin. To give you the basics: the mussels are simmered in Guinness beer before taking on an Italian touch with porcini mushrooms, pancetta ham, Italian basil and parsley. Using Greenshell mussels from New Zealand, Chef Villa promises to deliver the freshest taste!
